Joseph Burton Wines is an independent, family-owned wine wholesale and online retail business. Offering exceptional wine at excellent prices, director Joseph Burton was the first certified Sommelier in Tasmania and draws on more than 20 years experience as a Sommelier, wine distributor and business owner.

Joseph also enjoys working with local hospitality businesses to help educate and tailor vinous solutions, as well as hosting online and in-home wine tasting experiences, and delivering exceptional wine packages and service experiences for private and corporate events in Tasmania.

I’m Joseph Burton (JB). I am Tasmania’s first certified Sommelier, and remain the
most qualified sommelier in the state, as well as being still the most academically
qualified sommelier in Tasmania. Additonally, I have won 9 Wine list of the year ‘best
list of Tasmania’ awards across 4 different venues. Writting winelists is my thing.
I established Joseph Burton Wines in 2014 after 15 years working as a sommelier in
Melbourne and Tasmania, to work exclusively with small, family owned wine brands.
Having worked in the industryfor so long, I understand the needs of our customers
and strive to provide excellent service and solutions for your business. Please get in
